Materie presents a selection of recent works and focuses on the most physical dimension of Madaudo’s painting: pigments, raw textiles, supports, layers and gold leaf. The exhibition emphasizes a figuration that is not merely mimetic, but a construction of images in which matter becomes an autonomous presence. It is one of the most useful exhibitions for understanding the artist’s recent phase, where memory, technique and pictorial surface converge.
