Giuseppe Madaudo
In March 1964, at just fourteen years old, Giuseppe Madaudo presented his first solo exhibition at the “I Cadetti” Art Gallery, within the Flaccovio Bookshop at 200 Via Maqueda in Palermo.
This exhibition marked the precocious beginning of an artistic journey already distinguished by expressive intensity, figurative sensitivity, and a natural inclination toward visual storytelling. The artist’s very young age did not diminish the significance of the event; on the contrary, it emphasized its remarkable nature, revealing a talent capable of asserting itself with a maturity far beyond his years.
The exhibition, held from March 22 to 30, thus represents the first public chapter in Madaudo’s artistic research, which would later develop through painting, illustration, and narrative forms, while always preserving that early creative urgency that here found its first official expression.
